Simon Philips, managing partner, is an experienced entrepreneur in the technology services sector, and has considerable expertise in both deal structuring and operational management.
Simon founded Bridgewater Group Limited in 1991 and developed it as a leading provider of change management and IT solutions in the CRM sector, before selling the business in February 2000 to Extraprise Inc, a US based group.
Together with two partners, he also acquired AT&T's struggling call centre outsourcing subsidiary in 1998. As executive chairman until early 2001, he renamed the company 7C Limited, implemented a turnaround and grew it by more than ten-fold in 4 years. The business expanded into Italy and India, and was sold to United Utilities plc in 2002.
Simon has made several other principal investments in the technology and support services sector, with a strong track record of wealth creation.
He graduated from Cambridge University with a first class honours in engineering and initially worked for Bain & Company in London. He is currently chairman of KnowledgePool Group Ltd and Autocue Group Ltd, and a non-executive director of IGG Holdings Ltd, Adval Group plc, Country Foods Limited and Mettoni Group Limited.
