Simon is an experienced investor and serial entrepreneur. After starting his career at Bain & Company, Simon has gone on to develop an enviable track record of delivering exceptional returns on investments in the software, digital and business services sectors.
Frank is an accomplished investor and CEO. With a background in strategic consultancy at Capgemini and roles at Electrocomponents and Autocue, Frank’s expertise lies in turning around and growing tech-based SMEs in the broadcast, education, travel and security sectors.
Michael is responsible for Root’s deal origination and execution. He is a chartered accountant and investment professional of 10 years. Before joining Root Michael spent 5 years with PwC in their Corporate Finance division.
Responsible for Root’s deal origination and execution, Rob qualified as a chartered accountant at KPMG and then spent four years at Albion VC, investing £1m-10m in early stage companies.
Michael focusses on strategic analysis and detailed examination of new markets to understand where growth opportunities lie. His strategic experience comes from his previous roles at L.E.K and EY Parthenon.
Kirstyn is an experienced portfolio manager and fully qualified chartered accountant with previous positions at Montagu Private Equity and Saffery Champness before joining Root in the first half of 2020.
James is responsible for supporting the senior leadership teams in our portfolio companies through the successful implementation of the Root Accelerator Programme. Before joining Root, James was a management consultant at Baringa Partners and Accenture.
Jamie is responsible for Root’s talent acquisition and leadership development function. Before joining Root in 2020, Jamie spent 4 years with Skill Capital, a private equity-focussed executive search firm.
Niall is responsible for Root’s brand management and deal origination. His role involves starting new conversations with exciting businesses. His background sits within financial services and brand activation.
Emily has vast experience; from running her own business to travelling the world with her work. Emily’s role now consists of providing operational support to the different functions within Root.
Karen joined Root in August 2015 and has previous experience in marketing and events. Karen supports the senior team and is involved in projects across the company portfolio.
